Rhinoplasty & Nasal Reconstruction

Rhinoplasty is the surgery that changes the shape of the nose or remove the excess part. The goal for rhinoplasty is to change the appearance of the nose and improve breathing. This surgery can change both upper portion of the nose (bone) and the lower portion (cartilage).

Surgeons are now commonly performing nasal reconstruction procedures to repair deformities causing from trauma or tumor resection. Whenever a nasal reconstruction is performed, it is very important for plastic surgical techniques. Important layers of the nose (skin, cartilaginous framework, inner lining) that are misplaced must be reconstructed using the principle of esthetic reconstruction.
