But it grows and can cause signs and symptoms such as swelling in your neck, voice changes and swallowing. Parathyroid carcinoma is a rare malignant disease. Hyperparathyroidism during pregnancy increased risk of hypertension, risk of miscarriage, risk of permanent hyperparathyroidism in baby. Parathyroid disease has higher rate of sleep disorder or insomnia.
