Dunja Milicic

Dunja Milicic graduated from the Medical School at the University of Zagreb in 1984. She obtained her MSc in ENT, Audiology, and Phoniatrics in 1988 and became a specialist in ENT and Head & Neck Surgery (HNS) in 1991. From 1985 to 1988, she completed a fellowship in open rhinoplasty under Prof. Ivo Padovan, followed by a fellowship in facial plastic surgery with Dr. Eugene Tardy, Jr. at the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA, in 1988, where she specialized in closed rhinoplasty. Between 1991 and 1993, she led the Croatian Liaison Office for the European Community Humanitarian Office (ECMM) during the War in Croatia. In 1994, she became double-boarded in Medicine and ENT & HNS in Portugal. Since then, she has worked as an ENT & HNS consultant, initially in public hospitals and later in private practice, including Lusíadas SA, Hospital da Luz Arrábida, and SAMS. From 2022 to 2024, she pursued a fellowship in Aesthetic Medicine & Surgery at ECAMS. In addition to her clinical practice, she has been involved in teaching, lecturing in ENT to undergraduate and postgraduate students in Croatia until 1991 and in Portugal at the University of Porto (1996-1999) and Politecnico do Porto (2007-2009). She has been a member of several professional societies, including the British Audiological Society (1997-1999), Sociedade Portuguesa de ORL, Associação Portuguesa de Otoneurologia, European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery, Interamerican Association of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, Rhinoplasty Society of Europe, and is a Fellow of the European Academy of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery.
