Speech Pathology and Therapy

Speech Pathology and Therapy treats the children with speech or language disorders. Speech disorders are making with sounds and it includes articulation disorders, fluency disorders and resonance or voice disorders. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are called as speech therapists. Speech-language therapy for many reasons including hearing impairments, cognitive (intellectual, thinking) or other developmental delays, weak oral muscles, chronic hoarseness, cleft lip or cleft palate, autism, motor planning problems, articulation problems, fluency disorders, respiratory problems (breathing disorders), feeding and swallowing disorders and traumatic brain injury.
